New music, new food, new tv, new bus experience
The new !!! album, Myth Takes, is hot! My favorites so far are Must be the Moon and Heart of Hearts. I remember them doing Must be the Moon at Touch and Go, and had a ton of fun with it. Thanks Stv for sending it my way. I've also been repeating The Knife's "Silent Shout" album the past week. I must feel like dancing.
Last night Nate and I went to El Barco Marisco for Mexican seafood. I had never been there before. I got salmon with garlic, wine sauce, and cilantro. It was super awesome. Then we watched the rest of season 1 of the Kingdom. The ending was totally creepy, and I wasn't prepared for such a horrific scene. I thought "oh it was on television it can't be that bad" but I guess those Swedes are a bit different on what flies on tv.
I'm doing some really cool stuff at work, some of it scholarly some of it fluffy. Keeps the days a little more interesting.
Tonight I'm reuniting with a friend from the library in Madison, whom I haven't seen in a few years. She's in town and we are going to get some coffee. I can't wait to catch up.
I have a bus story: I had to take a very disgustingly early bus to my house, around 6:40 a.m. Apparently this is when all the kiddies go to high school because the bus was packed with some thuggy kids. I had expected it to be empty and quiet, so this was really annoying. They were all singing Clipse's "wamp wamp (what it do)" the entire time. This part was funny, but would have been much better had it not been 6:40. Then some of their female classmates got on the bus, and the men were like "hey girl that ass is too fat for the seat" "hey shorty sit on my lap" and all sorts of sexual crap. I can't imagine being one of those girls, having to listen to that 24/7 at school. It really irritated and depressed me. Way to respect women duders.
