there are dumb questions

Lady who always wears muumuus and has a dog who is always muzzled: "Is your dog friendly? Can our dogs meet?"

Me: "Not on her leash no"

Lady: "Yeah mine isn't very friendly either"

Why would she ask to have our dogs say hi if her's is not only unfriendly but also MUZZLED?
