Bragging rights

Bragging rights: I did such a good job today in my instruction session with the class that has a blind student that he doesn't need to meet with me alone tomorrow to go over it together! I'm pretty proud of myself for being able to navigate online databases with a visually impaired student in class while keeping the pace relatively fast for the other students. You try describing where the empty boxes and links are on the page without slowing down or sounding like you are ignoring the others in the room! I was really stressed about that, and now its over and turned out even better than I expected. I love making the students feel happy and I love getting validation in my ability to do my job well. That made today awesome.

My horrific blog got quoted on Brooklyn Vegan, a good music web site. The quote they used? "Scratch Acid was awesome." So succinct, so simple, so basic! I got a good laugh out of that. Makes me think I should either A) not write about anything cool or B) Do a better job of writing reviews. I'll do neither, and continue to annoy the shit out of my readers.
